Food is a frequent topic among Singaporeans because we LOVE to eat. Talking about food excites me so much that people tell me my eyes sparkle each time I share my food-venture with them! So yes, if you were to ask what my favourite hawker dish is… I can tell you the answer is a plenty!
1 Singapore Chicken Satay
Oooh, don’t you just love Satay? This simple meat of your choice; chicken, pork or mutton is skewered and grilled and served with sweet and spicy peanut sauce. This dish is not complete without Ketupat which is my all-time favourite!

I think I can eat this everyday! This is from my all-time favourite Chong Pang Nasi Lemak! The fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf! Pick and select your favourite dishes but the common ones are anchovies, peanuts, fried egg, otah, cucumber, curry veggies and most importantly traditional chili paste!

3 Traditional Singaporean Chicken Rice
Did you know that chicken rice is considered one of the national dishes of Singapore? My idea chicken rice would be a whole plate of breast meat! Hahaha There is only one way to eat chicken rice; dipped the chicken breast into the dark soy sauce and then the garlicky chili sauce… perfection!

4 Teochew
I am drooling as I type! This Teochew dish of flat and broad rice sheets in dark soy sauce is call Kuay Chap. Served together with pig intestines, braised duck meat, fish cake, braised peanuts, beancurd, preserved salted vegetables, and braised hard-boiled eggs. Over the weekend, you can most likely find me at the wet market in Lorong 8 Toa Payoh having this with my family. Be prepared to queue!
