How To Prepare Delicious Chinese Herbal Tea in 30 Minutes

When is the last time you went shopping at the Chinese Medical Hall? Yes, you heard me right. Chinese Medical Hall. For thousands of years, many health benefits have been attributed to drinking Chinese herbal Tea. This is especially true during the Chinese New Year festive season where many of the festive food are believed to give rise to excess heat in one’s body. Hence, drinking Chinese herbal tea with cooling properties is encouraged. Typically, the ingredients used are dried flowers, dried fruit, roots, leaves or seeds which can be easily bought at any Chinese Medical Hall.

One of the commonly used ingredient in Chinese Herbal Tea is Chrysanthemum. Besides being a natural coolant to reduce the excess heat in our body, it is believed to be able to treat colds, calm the nerves and lower the cholesterol levels. Chrysanthemum is also used to provide relief to the sore throat, eyes, respiratory system and aid in digestion.

Hence, today I am going to introduce you 5 simple Chinese Herbal Tea recipe which you can brew one for yourself within 15 minutes. Simply pour in 250ml of hot water into the cup and steep for 15 minutes with all the ingredients needed. 15 minutes later, you can enjoy a cuppa of Chinese Herbal Tea goodness. Refill with hot water once the cup is empty and repeat the steps. Simple and easy right?
