For a dining experience you’re unlikely to forget, visit Maki-san. This Japanese restaurant offers a variety of different options. Whether you crave the freshest sushi or salads, they have an option to bring your tastebuds to life. The best part is that their meals are all halal.
Bundle meals and platters
Before visiting Maki-san it’s a good idea to go hungry so that you can take advantage of all of their tasty offerings. If you enjoy family-style dining, then you should be sure to take a look at their bundle meals and Makiparty platters. Bundle meals often include a variety of sushi rolls, soft drinks, tempura and salads. Platters, on the other hand, include all of the sushi and tempura your taste buds can savour. These are a great option for four to six hungry guests.
Do it yourself meals
Although there is nothing wrong with ordering a complete meal from Maki-san, their do it yourself salads and sushi is a great way to have some fun when you go out for a meal. When ordering the D.I.Y. sushi, you receive a piece of nori, rice and all of the ingredients you need to put together an irresistible plate of sushi. Salads are served in a similar manner, with a serving of salad dressing on the side. However, if you’re short on time or you think it’s important for your food to look picture-perfect, this may not be the best option for you.
Sushi
Nothing beats a plate full of sushi on a hot summer day and Maki-san definitely won’t disappoint. They offer a wide variety of different options like the Child’s Play sushi plate. This is made with sushi rice, Japanese mayo, a delicate omelette, cooked tuna with mayonnaise, sharp cheddar cheese, cucumber, crab sticks, and crunchy tempura bits wrapped in a delectable piece of nori. Alternatively, the Tom-yummy is a great option, too.
Salads
Another big-ticket item at this restaurant is the house salad. These are refreshing, delicious and, best of all, super filling. The Gone Fishin’ salad is made with cold soba noodles, cucumber, smoked salmon, fish flakes, crab sticks, sweet corn, prawn roe, steamed prawn, and Thai Tom Yum Sauce. However, the Unicorn Magic salad made from mixed lettuce, cold udon noodles, black forest granola, meat-free burger patty, sweet corn, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, mandarin oranges, peaches, and miso sauce is equally delicious.
Snacks
Even if you aren’t that hungry, you can visit Maki-san for a quick top-up snack that will keep you running throughout the day. Best of all, the options are virtually endless. Grab some tempura crab sticks or enoki mushrooms or a plate of delicious prawn roe. You could even treat yourself to a soft shell crab that has been fried in a tender tempura batter. Finally, wash all of this down with some iced tea or a soft drink.
