If you love pizza delivery in Singapore (there’s no if, you obviously do), then you are probably well aware of the many different variations to the classic Italian dish. The modern pizza has come a long way since the days of plain cheese and tomato paste; we’re now able to get fusion variants such as Tandoori or Apple Crumble flavored pizzas.
However the privilege of choice has become both a blessing and a bane (how typical of a first world problem) especially when ordering for a big group – it’s such a hassle trying to decide on a flavor that satisfies all. As the famous adage goes, it is impossible to please everybody.
Thankfully, most pizza chains now offer the option of customizing your own pizza from scratch. But what exactly goes into the perfect pizza? After hours of intensive research (we had pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner basically), we at foodpanda have managed to narrow it down to 4 main components.
1 | Say Cheese!
You know that famous saying, about how sometimes ‘less is more’? This does NOT apply here. This is one of the easier ingredients to agree on because everybody loves their pizza with gorgeous gooey, melted cheese. Of course there’s also that strange group of people who love their pizza without cheese, but let’s try our best to remember the whole free-will, human rights thing.
2 | Where do you like your meat?
This category is pretty clear cut to define – it’s either you like your meat above your cheese, or you prefer your toppings hidden under the cheese. It’s as simple as that, unless you want multiple layers of cheese in between layers of toppings. In that case, go get a lasagna.
3 | Hope you’re doing pine
There are two types of people in this world: “Pineapples on pizza is perfectly normal” OR “Fruit on a pizza is just not okay”. There is no in between.
4 | Through thick and thin
Some of us enjoy a thin crisp layer of dough, others enjoy a thick and fluffy crust. Some of us enjoy stuffed-crusts, others prefer the plain aromatic bread. There’s no discrimination when it comes to pizza bread, we like ‘em in all shapes and sizes.
