Sunday mornings at Suntec might seem like an unconventional timing, but are actually very enjoyable. With just a few people strolling around, the colourful PasarBella almost seems to have just opened for us. Hence, our Sarnies review turned into a very calm indulgence trip. However, it was an indulgence that was as guilt-free as possible.
Coffee and Milkshakes to go
Even on a Sunday morning, Sarnies is a popular spot for coffee to go. Making your coffee the way you want it, Sarnies offers quite an interesting range of drinks – ranging from matcha latte to red velvet mocha. We went for an ordinary latte (which is always a good choice) as well as a chai milkshake. While the latte was as good as it should be, the milkshake had quite a rich and strong taste. However, it still offered a very refreshing feeling, while not being too sweet at all.
A Healthy Whip
If you love frozen yogurt, you should definitely make a stop at Sarnies, as their very own signature Coco Whip is super delicious and as guilt-free as possible. Made with coconut water, organic bio-fermented coconut, and hence vegan and dairy-free, this dessert is very refreshing, rich in taste, and not too sweet. It surely is one of the best vegan ice creams that I have had. We chose the slightly creamy burnt toffee sauce as well as nuts and goji berries as toppings. Especially the latter gave the ice cream mix some interesting extra taste and texture. Already the goji berries themselves were really yummy.
Having had a craving for sweets on that particular morning (it was Sunday after all), we also went for two different homemade brownies as well as a blueberry muffin. The latter was still warm, making the blueberry pieces inside almost melt together with the muffin. The peanut butter brownie offered an enjoyable combination of salt and sweet, creating an interesting taste party on my tongue. The chocolate brownie was quite literally a bomb and is a definite must-have for all chocolate fans. Homemade with rich dark chocolate, the brownie was melting in my mouth, making me feel almost delirious. Both the brownies were served in a coffee cup, which I thought was a small original detail, as at least I hadn’t seen or thought of it before.
No matter if a quick coffee and lunch to go or a relaxed brunch with a few sweet treats, Sarnies @ PasarBella Suntec is good for both, making it a well-rounded and convenient destination – not only on Sunday mornings.
