Axis Bar & Lounge
For the month of May, Mandarin Oriental’s contemporary Axis Bar and Lounge presents a creative Japanese-inspired afternoon tea menu, featuring an array of appealing sweet and savouries such as Lobster Chawanmushi, Takoyaki with Sakura Zuke, Sakura Blossom Scones, Green Tea Azuki Choux Pastry, Ume Plum Swiss Roll and Yuzu Meringue Sable Tart. Be serenaded by the pianist’s soothing melodies while sipping on TWG teas and nibbling on exquisite morels.
“A Taste of Japan” afternoon tea is available daily from 3pm to 5pm daily, with an additional seating from 12.30pm to 2.30pm on weekends and public holidays.
Rose Veranda
Located in Shangri-La Hotel, Rose Veranda is the place to bring mum for a delectable spread of international and local delights, set in a timeless setting. Satisfy sashimi cravings at the sushi bar while the sweet tooth is gratified with heart-shaped macarons, beautifully burnt Crème Brulee and Chocolate Fondue, which sits majestically at the centre of the dessert table.
Afternoon Tea Buffet is available from 11.30am-6pm Mondays to Thursdays. On Fridays to Sundays and Public Holidays, 2 seatings are available at 11.30am to 2pm and 3pm to 6pm.
Tea Lounge
Another top afternoon tea buffet destination in Singapore, Regent’s Tea Lounge boasts a kaleidoscope of textures and flavours amongst its savoury sweet offerings. The Grand Astor Afternoon Tea comprises of a quintessential three-tiered silver stand stacked with Duck Foie Gras ‘profiteroles’, classic finger sandwiches in addition to a tantalising buffet spread of scones and gorgeous cakes, alongside freshly prepared waffles and crepes.
The Grand Astor Afternoon Tea is served on Mondays to Saturdays 3pm-5pm, and Sundays 4pm to 6pm.
The Clifford Pier
With the Marina Bay Waterfront as a backdrop, tall ceilings, sweeping arches, plush silk carpets and well-appointed furniture, there’s no doubt that The Clifford Pier is a stunner. For moms that prefer Peranakan flavours, the Singapore Heritage Afternoon Tea, by renowned cookbook author Shermay Lee, will surely hit the spot. Indulge in a line up of savouries such as Kurobuta Pork Kong Ba Bao, Chilli Crab Bun and Chicken Curry Roti Jala Wrap. As for the desserts, there’s Bandung Macaron, Hainanese Roti and Kaya and Tropical Fruit Scones served with Pineapple-Vanilla Jam.
